Young man abducted in Afrin by Turkish occupation

Mercenaries aligned with the Turkish occupation kidnapped a young man immediately upon his arrival with his family at their home in the countryside of Mabatah city in occupied Afrin, after assaulting him and his father and taking him to an unknown location.

The Afrin Human Rights Organization – Syria reported that Turkish occupation mercenaries kidnapped 26-year-old Hassan Ibrahim Jallo on September 6, 2025, immediately after he returned with his family to their home in the village of Qantara in Mabatah city, Afrin, following eight years of forced displacement.

The organization noted that the mercenaries stormed the house as the family arrived, physically assaulted the young man and his father, confiscated all family members’ phones, including those of the women, and kidnapped him, taking him to an unknown location. His family and the village residents were left in a state of fear and anxiety.

Occupied areas in Syria by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have witnessed an escalation of violence, killings, and kidnappings, amid widespread public anger over these ongoing crimes.
