Yazidi Women's Union congratulates birth of Jesus Christ

The Yazidi Women's Union in Rojava congratulated the birth of Jesus Christ and expressed in a statement today: "With great sacredness, Christians today celebrate the Nativity of Jesus Christ, which is considered one of the greatest occasions. Christians celebrate this holiday with special religious rituals that express their joy and faith."

The statement added: "On this occasion, we at the Yazidi Women's Union in Rojava extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to Christians, and we hope that love and peace will prevail in Syria and the world."

In the statement, the Yazidi Women's Union stressed the importance of coexistence between components and sects, and their solidarity as a way to protect "our existence, our land and our deep-rooted history."

The statement pointed out that Syria is living in an exceptional situation today, and is going through a sensitive stage represented in the need to draw a bright future for all the Syrian people, in which everyone shares their colors, beliefs and different affiliations.
