The women's delegation from the North and East Syria region held a lecture as part of the activities on the third and final day of the "Festival of Humanity" in France. The lecture focused on the conditions of women and the women's revolution in Rojava, Bakur Kurdistan, and Eastern Kurdistan.

The lecture was moderated by members of the coordinating bodies: Jian Hussein from the Kongra Star, Berivan Furat from Northern Kurdistan, and Fatima Karimi from Eastern Kurdistan. During the meeting, they discussed the current situation in their regions, especially key issues related to women and the women's revolution in Rojava. They also addressed recent developments in Syria and ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of women's rights, peace, and democracy.

The researcher and director of the Kurdistan Human Rights Network highlighted the ongoing repression and violations against women by the Iranian regime and the popular uprising under the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom."

In a related context, the French organization specializing in supporting oppressed peoples, "France Kurdistan," participated in the lecture. They spoke about the humanitarian situation in Palestine and the Rojava and North and East Syria revolution, which has become a revolution for all peoples and components. They also reviewed the achievements made, especially in the women's sphere, and the global impact of this revolution.

It is noted that the women's delegation will hold another lecture this evening as part of the festival, focusing particularly on the situation in North and East Syria and the broader Syrian context.

The "Festival of Humanity" activities began on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Paris and continue for three days, with thousands of visitors and representatives from leftist parties and organizations from France and other countries. The festival is held at the former Air Base 217 in the Le Plessis-Pâté area south of the capital, organized by the newspaper L’Humanité. It is one of the most prominent annual events combining music, intellectual discussions, and solidarity activities.

The 90th edition of the festival features extensive artistic participation alongside political and cinematic seminars addressing urgent issues such as the climate crisis, the war in Gaza, and women's rights, in which the women's delegation of North and East Syria took part.

The delegation, which includes the administrative member of the Women's Council in North and East Syria, Amina Omar; the spokesperson for the Syrian Women's Council, Mona Al-Yousef; the spokesperson for the Zenobia Women's Assembly, Shahrazad Al-Jassim; a member of the Star Conference Coordination, Jian Hussein; and the president of the Syriac Women's Union, Georgette Barsum, arrived in Europe on September 6, 2025, as part of a tour to meet women's organizations, human rights groups, and European parliamentarians to discuss women's issues and the Syrian situation.
