Women’s delegation meets with Kurdish community in Germany

The delegation held its meeting with the Kurdish community at the Kurdistan Association headquarters in the German capital. The discussion focused on recent political developments in Syria in general, and in North and East Syria in particular.

During the meeting, the delegation stressed that the March 10 Agreement, signed between the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and the head of the transitional government, Ahmed al-Shar’a, represents a key basis for dialogue between the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the transitional government.

The delegation also highlighted the importance of establishing a decentralized, pluralistic political system that guarantees the participation of all Syrian communities, in addition to safeguarding the achievements of the women’s revolution in North and East Syria.

This meeting is part of a European diplomatic tour launched by the women’s delegation on September 6, during which they met with a number of human rights and women’s organizations, as well as members of the French Parliament. The delegation also took part in lectures, cultural events, and festivals.

The delegation includes: Amina Omar, an official from the Women’s Council of North and East Syria; Mona al-Youssef, spokesperson for the Syrian Women’s Council; Shahrazad al-Jassem, spokesperson for the Zenobia Women’s Gathering; Jian Hussein, member of the Kongra Star Coordination; and Georgette Barsom, head of the Syriac Women’s Union.
