"We will achieve physical freedom of Leader Ocalan through resistance"

No information has been received about Leader Abdullah Ocalan for 3 years, and the Committee against Torture remains silent about it. In this context, the families of the martyrs spoke to ANHA agency.

Member of the Council of Martyrs' Families in the Euphrates Canton, Cihan Haj Ali, said: "The entire people must rise up and struggle to obtain information about Leader Abdullah Ocalan and his situation."

Haj Ali highlighted the dominant countries’ fear of Leader Ocalan’s ideas: “The Turkish state is afraid of Leader Ocalan’s philosophy, so it imposes isolation on him and does not allow his family and lawyers to communicate with him.”

Nisreen Ibrahim, member of the Martyrs' Families Council in Qanah district, pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan fought for all peoples. She continued her speech: "To me, Leader Ocalan represents strength. He is the one who brought women to this level, so we will always struggle to find him among us."

A member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Euphrates Canton, Adul Mahmoud Sheikh zadeh, explained that just as the leader Abdullah Ocalan fought for the cause of women, women will fight for his freedom, and said: “The dominant countries remain silent about what is being committed against the leader because they fear his ideas and philosophy. We call on Committee against Torture for immediately revealing information about the condition of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and we emphasize resistance and the continuation of the struggle in the squares until the physical freedom of our leader is achieved.”
