War wounded call for implementing Leader Ocalan's "Right to Hope"

War wounded from the Euphrates region issued a statement on Monday, which was read by Rêber Ismail; the member of the War Wounded Institution, at the hall of the Martyrs' Families Council in Kobani city, with the participation of several other war injured individuals from the city.

The statement included: "We are war wounded in the Euphrates region of Rojava Kurdistan. We declare that since the beginning of this year, and despite the war imposed on our region, a special warfare, assimilation policies, and conspiratorial approaches are still ongoing. Although various initiatives have been proposed under the banners of 'peace and a democratic society' in North Kurdistan and Turkey, or 'democratic integration' in Rojava Kurdistan and Syria, the actual policies being implemented are far from reflecting these ideals, a fact that only deepens our doubts and concerns."

The statement stated: "There is no doubt that the primary objective of these policies is to undermine the historical solution proposed by Leader Apo as a strategic initiative. Despite all the radical, historic, and significant steps taken by the leadership and our movement, the ruling authorities in Turkey and Syria approach this process from a self-serving and utilitarian perspective. We are all aware that the Turkish state also imposes its policies regarding the Kurdish issue on Syria."

The statement added: "On this basis, the isolation imposed on our leadership continues through increasingly precise and covert methods. As stipulated by international law, the 'Right to Hope' is being disregarded, and no effort is made towards a fundamental solution. Turkish officials are fully aware that unless the issues of isolation and the Right to Hope are addressed, no progress can be achieved in other resolution efforts. The entire world and public opinion have witnessed that Leader Apo has taken strategic steps to resolve the Kurdish issue, which forms the core of the Middle East crisis, and has proposed historic initiatives at the ideological, philosophical, and practical levels. However, the Turkish state and government approach the resolution issue with a pragmatic and self-serving mindset, leaving the problem unresolved."

The statement emphasized that this situation is unacceptable. We, war wounded in Rojava and Syria, who have made significant sacrifices to date, will continue to uphold the same level of awareness and foresight going forward. The positions adopted towards Leader Apo reflect those taken towards the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region; for us, Leader Apo represents the fundamental principle, standard, and guiding framework. We fully understand that leadership is not merely a personal trait but rather the essence and cornerstone for addressing the challenges facing the Middle East and Kurdistan. The entirety of Leader Apo's life, struggles, actions, and intellectual and philosophical contributions stands as clear evidence of this reality.

The statement concluded by emphasizing: "Leader Apo is not merely an individual; he represents a community. He is not just a life story but also the history and the present. We, the war wounded in Rojava and Syria, will stand more firmly behind our leadership than ever before. We call upon all of humanity, as well as humanitarian, progressive, and democratic institutions, to defend the rights and integrity of this leadership. Defending Leader Apo is tantamount to defending humanity and its core values; Leader Apo is our red line."

The statement concluded by shouting the slogan "Long live Leader Apo."
