Volunteer committees formed to collect signatures for leader’s physical freedom

Political institutions and parties in Al-Shaddadi district announced, through a statement today, the start of collecting signatures for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan in the district and its countryside.

The statement was read by the administrator of the Democratic Union Party, Mahidi Al-Daghim, before the Al-Shaddadi District Council, in the presence of members of the district’s institutions.

The statement said: “Today, we in Al-Shaddadi district have begun collecting signatures for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, our goal today is to collect 100,000 signatures in Al-Shaddadi and its countryside through the volunteer committees."

Al-Daghim confirmed the formation of volunteer committees from political institutions and parties in order to collect signatures for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, from the people of Al-Shaddadi district and its countryside, and to submit them to humanitarian organizations.

The volunteer committees in Al-Shaddadi district are scheduled to begin collecting signatures tomorrow.
