Local sources in the Damascus countryside reported material damage following a violent explosion, suspected to have been caused by an Israeli strike on Tel Al-Shahem, located at the administrative border between the Damascus and Quneitra countrysides.

On December 29, 11 people were killed in a violent explosion that struck a weapons depot previously linked to the former regime near the industrial city of Adra in the Damascus countryside. It is believed that the explosion was caused by another Israeli strike targeting Syrian territory as part of Israel's efforts to destroy the remaining stockpile of weapons held by the former regime.
