Unknown assailants kill mercenary in occupied Tel Abyad

A mercenary affiliated with the Turkish occupation was killed by unknown assailants in the countryside of occupied Tel Abyad, highlighting the ongoing security chaos in the area.

Local sources from the eastern countryside of occupied Tel Abyad reported the killing of a member of the so-called "Civil Police – Criminal Division," affiliated with Turkish occupation mercenaries, by unknown assailants.

The incident underscores the persistent security chaos in the region since its occupation.

According to the sources, the mercenary, named Bashar Al-Huwait, was around twenty years old. The killing took place near the village of Bir Asi in the town of Suluk, where he was shot by unknown individuals, with the motives and identities of the perpetrators remaining unclear.

Since October 9, 2019, the occupied city of Gire Spi (Tel Abyad) has been experiencing a state of security breakdown, marked by internal assassinations among mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation. These incidents stem from disputes over influence, division of stolen goods, and overlapping interests in human trafficking networks, making every mercenary a potential target within a chaotic system.
