University of Kobani signs memorandum of understanding with university in Kosovo

The co-chairof the University of Kobani, Shervan Muslim and Khazneh Ibrahim, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of Hacizeka University, Professor Dr. Armand Krasnici in order to foster academic and research collaboration between the two universities.

The memorandum is aimed at developing collaboration in the field of education and scientific research, sharing of academic and administrative experience, increasing efficiency of teachers and researchers, as well as exchanging information regarding curricula and educational programs, as well as helping students and postgraduate programs.

In addition, the memorandum provides for conducting joint research programs, sharing educational material and publications, holding seminars and other activities, as well as collaboration in obtaining grants and funding for scientific and research projects.

The memorandum also includes working to develop joint academic programs and dual degree programs, in accordance with the systems approved by both universities.

The duration of the memorandum of understanding extends for five years, and is automatically renewable for a similar period, unless one of the two parties informs the other of its desire not to renew six months before the expiration of its term.

To follow up on the implementation of the terms of the agreement, Dr. Arberora Hajiya from Hajizeka University, and Dr. Ashraf Mahmoud from the University of Kobani, were appointed as coordinators of cooperation between the two universities.

The University of Kobani confirmed that the signing of this memorandum constitutes a new step towards strengthening its academic presence at the international level, and opening broader horizons for students and researchers to benefit from scientific exchange programs and joint research cooperation.
