The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced on Tuesday that more than 13 million Syrians are in need of food, while nearly 12 million require clean water, and approximately 13 million need health assistance within the country.

The office noted that recent floods that struck five Syrian governorates have affected more than 20,000 people, including internally displaced persons, and have damaged or destroyed more than 3,500 shelters.

The report reflects the scale of the ongoing humanitarian crisis, with the population's basic needs increasing and the impact of natural disasters exacerbating their living conditions.
