Two children from Kobani kidnapped in Aleppo

On June 9, an armed group kidnapped two children, Ali and Abdullah, from a family originally from Kobani and residing in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo. The kidnapping occurred in the area known as the "Death Roundabout" within the city.

According to reports, the family consisted of the mother, her two sons Ali and Abdullah, the mother's sister, and their grandmother. The three women were later released, but the two children remain in an unknown location, and their fate is still unknown.

According to a relative of the kidnapped children, the children are Ali, 16, and Abdullah, 9, sons of Yasser Karmash. The relative confirmed that the family resides in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo.

Sources close to the family reported that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of $100,000 for the children's release. The sources also stated that the kidnappers sent audio recordings containing the children's screams and pleas for help while they were being tortured, in an attempt to pressure their family into paying the ransom.

The family of the two children, Ali and Abdullah, appeals to all relevant authorities and human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to determine their fate, ensure their safety, work towards their release, and hold those responsible for this crime accountable.
