Turkish occupation attacks deprive 89,418 students of education

The Education Body of NE Syria stated that the recent Turkish attacks resulted in the martyrdom of five workers at the Semav printing press, while 89,418 students were deprived of education, whereas five schools were directly targeted in Al-Jazera area.

 After the recent aggression launched by the Turkish occupation state on NE Syria, the Education Body issued a statement read by the Deputy Co-Presidency of the Body, Azad Barazi, which stated:

  “It is not the first time, but it is usual behavior by the Turkish occupation state, whose leaders and the media bragged about their plan to destroy the infrastructure of NE Syria in a clear, and public manner, ignoring international and humanitarian laws because these actions in themselves are classified as war crimes in International laws.

" On the verge of the end of the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, these attacks cast a shadow over the educational sector, especially in the border areas. The Turkish aggression warplanes bombed the Semav printing press, which prints textbooks, which led to the martyrdom of five workers, and 712 schools suspended, in addition to deprivation 89,418 students from education.

Furthermore, five schools were directly targeted in Al-Jazera, while the educational process in the entire Euphrates and Afrin / Al-Shahba cantons was suspended."
