Local sources from the occupied city of Afrin reported that Turkish mercenaries, known as the “National Army,” were demanding a financial ransom of $20,000 in exchange for the release of the citizen Rashid Ismail, who had been kidnapped since last April.

Rashid, who was working in a motorcycle maintenance shop, was kidnapped by “Military Police” mercenaries.

Mercenary brokers of the "Military Police" contacted members of his family, demanding $20,000 for his release. They confirmed that he had been tortured and would be killed if the ransom demand was not met.

This coincides with the report published by an website on the 10 most dangerous cities in the world currently, including the city of Afrin, which ranked seventh in the ranking with 75 crimes since its occupation in March 2018.
