Turkish authorities prohibit lawyers from meeting with Leader Ocalan again

The Turkish authorities banned lawyers from meeting with Leader Abdullah Ocalan for another six months, and the content of the decision was not revealed to the lawyers under the pretext of “security.”

According to Mesopotamia News Agency, on November 6, the lawyers of the Al-Asr Office submitted a request to the Execution Court in Bursa with the aim of meeting their client, but they knowed after submitting the request that on October 31, a new ban was imposed preventing them from meeting with him.

The lawyers wanted to know the text of the ban decision, so they requested a draft of the file, but the court rejected their request under the pretext of “security.” The lawyers objected to the ban decision at the Supreme Court, but their objection request was also rejected.

The Al-Asr Office will also object to the decision in the Supreme Constitutional Court.

It is noteworthy that, on April 26, the Turkish authorities issued a ban prohibiting lawyers from meeting with Leader Ocalan for 6 months.

Since March 2021, no information has been received about Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained in Imrali prison since 1999.
