Turkish security forces arrested four young members of the Youth Council of the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party in the city of Amed, Northern Kurdistan.

The detained individuals are Mohsen Aydoğdu, Fermandar Kardaş, Yusuf Demir Bulat, and Celal Özer. Turkish security forces raided their homes and took them to an unknown location.

The Turkish authorities have not provided any explanations regarding the reasons for the arrests. Local sources reported that the four youths were transferred to the Amed Security Directorate, amid fears they may face mistreatment during their detention.

These arrests are part of a series of repressive policies pursued by the Turkish state against the political movement, particularly the Kurdish movement, and especially young activists, in an attempt to suppress the will of the Kurdish society and silence democratic voices.
