tribes: we will not allow anyone to incite discord among region’s components

Since the beginning of the revolution in North and East Syria, various parties, motivated by their own interests, have attempted to fuel conflicts among the region’s components, particularly between tribes.

Kurdish tribes in North and East Syria affirmed that no disputes exist among the components of the region, and they will not permit attempts to foment division to succeed. In this context, Ibrahim Kilo, a prominent figure of the Omari tribe, issued a call to the Kurdish people, Arab tribes, and other components of the region, urging them to unite against sectarian strife. He highlighted that the former Ba’ath regime established barriers between the region’s components, preventing communication and the sharing of concerns in an effort to sow discord among them.

He pointed out that the current Syrian Interim Government continues this approach but fails in its attempts because all components today stand united as one.

Ibrahim Kilo emphasized that the components and tribes in North and East Syria regularly consult and exchange views. He stated, “We will not allow unscrupulous individuals to sow discord among us, and we will stand together to liberate and protect our homelands from them.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the martyrs and fighters, noting that the security enjoyed by the population today was achieved thanks to their sacrifices.

Similarly, Kelman Khlo, sheikh of the Mirsini tribe, stressed the importance of unity among the components. He clarified that attempts to spread discord will fail because the people of the region remain steadfast and united.

He further explained that there are no issues between the Arab tribes and other components, and any disagreements that arise are resolved internally and through consensus. He added, “We are neighbors and brothers; our blood has mixed on the battlefield, and we will never accept any falsehoods spoken against us.”

Both Ibrahim Kilo and Kelman Khlo affirmed: "We will not allow anyone to incite discord among the components of the region.
