Trial water pumping begins between al-Himma, al-Aziziyah Stations in Hasakah

The Al-Himma Water Station, located north of Hasakah city, has begun the trial pumping of drinking water supplied from the Alouk Water Station to the Al-Aziziyah Station in the city center. The move aims to restore the city's water supply system and provide water to neighborhoods that rely on the station.

Hasakah's drinking water network is divided into two main sectors. The western and northern neighborhoods receive water through the Al-Himma Station, while the eastern and southern neighborhoods are supplied via the Al-Aziziyah Station, one of the city's main water distribution facilities.

According to available information, the pumping process remains in its trial phase to test the efficiency of the network and pumping stations before full operation begins, ensuring that water reaches all beneficiary neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, the Hasakah Drinking Water and Sanitation Company has not yet issued an official statement announcing the start of the station's operation, nor has it confirmed whether the water is safe for human consumption.

Last Saturday, July 18, the Hasakah General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation urged residents not to use water from the network for drinking at this stage, as the trial pumping of water from the Alouk Water Station to Hasakah city and its countryside was still underway.

Residents of Hasakah are awaiting an official announcement from the relevant authorities specifying when regular pumping will begin and providing the results of the technical and laboratory tests regarding the water's quality and its suitability for domestic use and drinking.
