Tirbespiyê reaffirms commitment to martyrs’ path during funeral ceremony

Hundreds of residents from Tirbespiyê gathered today at the Martyr Delsher Cemetery in the village of Dakri to attend the funeral of Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, a fighter in the People's Protection Units who passed away on April 3 due to a terminal illness. The ceremony also included symbolic memorials for SDF fighters Shiro Tirbespiyê (real name: Amjad Al-Habib) and Ayd Tirbespiyê (real name: Omar Al-Habib), who were martyred on January 2 during the resistance at the Tishrin Dam.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs. Afterwards, Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim, an administrator from the Council of Martyrs' Families, spoke and said: "We at the Council of Martyrs’ Families pledge to follow in the footsteps of our martyrs and safeguard their achievements, no matter the sacrifices."

On behalf of the Autonomous Administration, Hikmat Al-Habib, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in Jazera Canton, gave a speech in which he emphasized that the great sacrifices made by the people of North and East Syria have ensured public safety, civil peace, and the preservation of Syrian territorial unity.

Sheikh Alaadin Muhammad, a member of the Democratic Islam Conference, also spoke, highlighting that martyrdom is one of the highest honors in life and a path chosen by the sons and daughters of North and East Syria to protect their people and homeland.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Zidan, a member of the Military Relations Council in Qamishlo, affirmed that the SDF remains committed to its promise of maintaining civil peace and coexistence. He stated, “This is why we see the blood of all communities mixing within these forces.”

On behalf of the families of martyrs Amjad Al-Habib and Omar Al-Habib, their cousin Farouq Al-Habib delivered a speech, emphasizing that they will continue on the path of their martyrs until achieving a free and dignified life for all Syrians.

The ceremony concluded with the reading of the martyrdom documents of the three martyrs and their handover to their families. Then, Abdul Razzaq Muhammad’s body was laid to rest in the Martyr Delsher Cemetery, as chants glorifying and honoring the martyrs were raised.
