Tirbê Spiyê Women affirm their support for YPJ

Tirbê Spiyê city witnessed a mass rally with broad participation from various components of the city, in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), and to affirm their role in protecting women's rights and enhancing their status within society, as they are one of the most prominent gains of women during the years of the Syrian revolution.

As part of the campaign launched on April 26th by the Joint Events Platform of Women's Movements and Organizations in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) under the slogan "We are all YPJ, and YPJ represents us," the Kongra Star organized a mass rally in the Tirbê Spiyê city in support of YPJ.

Women and representatives from various components in the city participated in the march to express their solidarity with these forces and their role in defending women's rights and freedom.

The march began in front of the Kongra Star Center in the eastern part of the city and proceeded through the central market, where participants waved YPJ flags and chanted slogans affirming their support for women's struggle and resistance.

The rally paused in front of the city council building, where the Kongra Star member Ghaliya Ahmed delivered a speech emphasizing that the women of Tirbê Spiyê, from all backgrounds, had come out to express their solidarity with YPJ and to reject any attempts to undermine women's gains and rights.

In her speech, Ghaliya Ahmed noted that the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) were formed at the start of the revolution and have achieved significant accomplishments over the past years on the military, social, and organizational levels, in addition to their role in protecting women and defending their rights.

She added that the units have contributed to building a social system that preserves women's dignity and safeguards their freedom and rights, emphasizing that the experience of women in North and East Syria has become a model that can be utilized throughout Syria, particularly regarding women's organization and participation in various aspects of life.

She affirmed that YPJ has become a symbol of women's struggle and their active presence in society, stressing the importance of preserving these gains and strengthening women's role in building a democratic future that guarantees justice and equality.

The march concluded with chants glorifying women's resistance and struggle, and the slogan "We are all YPJ."
