"We will not stand idly in repelling Turkish occupation's ambitions"

The residents of the North and East Syria region continue to head to Tishreen Dam to join the protest shift, aiming to protect it from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and mercenaries.

 The residents of Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor cantons, in addition to the displaced people of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons, who are heading to Tishreen Dam today, stressed the importance of this resistance to protect their families and villages from any threat, and to prevent the Turkish occupation state from occupying and destroying their vital facilities.

 Citizen Nidal Muhammad, a resident of Raqqa and one of the residents who headed to Tishreen Dam, said today: "We, the people of northern and eastern Syria, are peace-loving people, but the Turkish occupation state wants war and is targeting Tishreen Dam. Today, we are heading to the dam to protect it from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state."

 Muhammad stressed: "We support our forces and our sons from the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units who are writing the most wonderful epics on the fronts of Tishreen Dam. They will not be alone and we will support them anywhere."

 Citizen Bashir al-Nayef, a resident of Raqqa, said: "The people of Raqqa canton are continuing the campaign they organized to protect Tishreen Dam. We will continue to take turns at the dam despite all the attacks that the residents are exposed to. We are steadfast in this place that has become a place of resistance."

 Al-Nayef said: "Protecting the dam does not only mean protecting it, but it means protecting Syria in general from an occupation project, and we are ready to stand in the face of this project," and that defending the dam is defending Syria in general.

 In turn, the displaced person from the occupied city of Afrin to the Tabqa canton, Maryam al-Abd, who headed to the Tishreen Dam, said: "Today we are heading to the Tishreen Dam, the dam of resistance and martyrs, to give strength to our forces and our people who are on duty at the dam. This is not the first time we have gone to the dam, but we have gone several times and were subjected to shelling by the Turkish occupation, and martyrs and wounded among our comrades fell. Our resistance in the Tishreen Dam gives strength to our people and stands in the face of the occupation and its ambitions."

 Maryam al-Abd confirmed: "We will not leave our land, and we will remain resistant until the end. We will not leave our dam and our land to our enemy, and we will remain until our last breath."

 Nouri Muhammad, a displaced person from the Afrin and al-Shahba cantons, said: "Today we are going to the Tishreen Dam to protect it from attacks, and we will not stand idly by in the face of the ambitions of the Turkish occupation. This is our dam, the dam of Syria, and we will not leave room for the Turkish occupation state to occupy it."
