"This is our opportunity to unite Kurdish ranks"

In light of the current situation in Syria in general, and the regions of North and East Syria in particular, the residents of the cities of Amuda and Qamishlo in Jazira region have called on the Kurdish political parties to unite, distance themselves from partisan interests, and preserve the gains achieved thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs. 

 Citizen Maryam Muhammad al-Omar, aunt of three martyrs and sister of a war wounded, said: "We have made numerous sacrifices to obtain our rights and achieve our Kurdish unity; therefore, our only demand is to achieve unity and reject disputes, setting them aside in this sensitive phase, because when the Turkish occupier targets us, they do not distinguish between anyone."

 She emphasized, "We will resist until our last breath."

 "We are the rightful owners of this land and we will not abandon it."

 Citizen Issa Qartimini affirmed, "Today we have taken to the squares to tell the fighters on the front lines and the people of Kobani to resist and persevere. We are the rightful owners of this land and we will not abandon it, for it is the land of our ancestors and fathers. We will not accept it being desecrated by the occupiers and their mercenaries, and we will support our fighters until the last breath."

 He called on all Kurdish political parties and forces, intellectuals, and writers to unite and sit at the dialogue table; because their mission is to serve the people, not to serve narrow partisan interests and agendas.

 We are the owners of a cause.

 As for the citizen Zozan from occupied Afrin, she said: "The whole world must know that we are people with a cause, and we have the right to self-determination and to live according to our culture, language, and identity."

 She emphasized, "We want our usurped rights and we will obtain them sooner or later, so we must unite and stand together."

 Citizen Leyla Hassari, mother of fighters on the front lines, affirmed: "If we are united and work towards a common goal, we will be able to obtain our rights and thwart all the plots against our regions, building a future Syria that guarantees the rights of all components."

 Abdul Salam Qafour, a member of the Peace Party, said: "The region is going through a sensitive phase, and we must unite and reach an agreement among the political parties; because if each party goes to Damascus separately, it will not serve our cause. Therefore, it is necessary to set aside differences and strengthen Kurdish unity so that we can be one hand."

 Citizen Rania Younis said: "We must have a significant role in this sensitive phase, and the Kurdish parties should agree to build and strengthen Kurdish unity."

 Citizen Nada Dawood also called on all Kurdish parties to unite, saying: "All differences must be resolved to preserve the gains achieved thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs."

 She affirmed that "this is our opportunity to unite the Kurdish ranks."
