"The people's resistance will continue until victory"

The people of North and East Syria continue their resistance against the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the Tishrin Dam since January 8.

On February 6, the fourth convoy headed from Kobani to the Tishrin Dam, but it was subjected to a brutal attack by the Turkish occupation state, and 24 citizens were injured as a result.

One of the wounded, Haji Shahin Qolavazi (44 years old), commented on his injury, saying: "As soon as we arrived at the dam, the Turkish state attacked us with warplanes brutally, and I was seriously injured in my abdomen."

Shahin Qolavazi pointed out that just as they defeated ISIS mercenaries in Kobani in 2014, they will defeat the Turkish state again. He said: “The occupying Turkish state will never be able to undermine our will with these attacks. Just as we proved our presence against the mercenaries in 2014, we will prove our presence against the Turkish state again. Either we live with honor and dignity or we die. We promised our martyrs to continue our resistance until the end.”

Hajji Shahin Qolavazi confirmed that they are ready to continue their struggle despite their injuries, and if necessary, they will return to Tishreen Dam to protect it from the attacks of the occupation.

“Tishreen Dam represents our dignity”

Kalima Shawkat (42 years old) pointed out: “We, the people of the region, went to the dam to protect our water and land from the attacks of the occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries. Tishreen Dam represents our dignity, and we will always defend our dignity.”

Kalima continued her speech saying: "I headed to the dam as part of the fourth convoy from Kobani, and as soon as the convoy arrived there, we were targeted by the planes of the occupying Turkish state. Turkey wants to instill fear in our hearts, but we are strong, and we do not fear the attacks of the occupation at all."

Kalima Shawkat mentioned that her morale never weakened, despite her injury, and continued her speech saying: "When I was injured, I did not feel the pain of my injury, because I have strength and will. My morale and will never weakened, and despite my injury, if necessary, I will go to the dam again."

"Holding the Dabke of Freedom in the face of attacks"

Fatima Khalil (39 years old) referred to the resistance on the dam, and said: "The resistance of the people on the dam shows that these people are strong, and attacks can never stand in their way. The Dabke of Freedom was held in the face of the occupation attacks." Fatima continued, "While people were dancing, they were targeted by the occupying Turkish state. I was injured in my stomach, arm and leg, but I never cared about the pain of my injury, because our resistance must never stop."

Fatima Khalil concluded her speech by stressing that they will continue to protect the dam and support their fighters always.
