"Tamasuk" holds third meeting in Damascus, approves organizational and political decisions

The General Assembly of the Syrian Equal Citizenship Alliance "Tamasuk" held its third in-person meeting in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with the participation of alliance members and representatives of groups seeking to join it.

In a statement issued today, the alliance said the meeting began with attendance confirmation and a welcoming speech delivered on behalf of the Temporary Political Committee. Two new groups were then invited to introduce themselves as part of the process of joining the alliance.

Participants discussed the draft political report prepared by the Temporary Political Committee, incorporating comments and amendments ahead of its expected publication in the coming days.

The meeting also included a review and evaluation of the work carried out by the alliance's internal committees before approving a number of decisions concerning Tamasuk's political vision and internal regulations.

Tamasuk is a political alliance that was announced in Damascus on March 22, 2025. It brings together 35 political entities and civil groups, including the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC).
