Syrian defense official vows to pursue attack perpetrators

Syrian Deputy Defense Minister for the Eastern Region Samir Oso vowed to pursue those responsible for an attack targeting a Syrian army post, which resulted in the deaths of fighters Artish and Shaheen and wounded two of their comrades.

Syrian Deputy Defense Minister for the Eastern Region Samir Oso said in a post on X today that a Syrian army post came under a “terrorist attack” two days ago, killing fighters Artish and Shaheen and wounding two of their comrades.

Oso added that the city of Qamishlo held a solemn funeral for the two fighters today, attended by large crowds as an expression of respect for their sacrifices.

He said, “We had hoped that the region would enter a phase in which mothers’ tears would dry, but this terrorist attack has brought grief back to our mothers’ hearts.”

He continued, “We pledge to pursue all those involved in this attack and bring them to justice so that security and stability can return to our region. We also extend our sincere condolences to the families of the two martyred fighters and wish the wounded a speedy recovery.”
