Residents of Qamishlo expressed their happiness with the meeting that took place with leader Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed their continued demand for physical freedom.

A delegation from the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party, including parliamentarians Perwin Buldan and Sirri Sureyya Onder, met with leader Abdullah Ocalan at Imrali Island Prison on Saturday (December 28th).

The delegation revealed the content of the meeting during a statement published on Sunday, in which it stressed that "the leader is in good health and high morale." In this context, ANHA agency conducted several interviews with the people of Qamishlo, during which they revealed that they welcome the assessments given by leader Abdullah Ocalan.

 

Sherif Hajji Mahmoud from the Antaria neighborhood of Qamishlo said that the message of leader Abdullah Ocalan is based on peace, adding: "We have been waiting for it, because we want peace in Kurdistan and the whole Middle East."

"leader Abdullah Ocalan believes that the freedom of the Kurdish people comes with the achievement of the freedom of the Turkish people, the leader has shown his readiness to carry out his humanitarian and national duty, and the assessments he gave represent a blessed step for the Kurdish, Arab, Turkish, Persian and other peoples," he said. 

Najah al-Omar from the Halko neighborhood of Qamishlo indicated that they were waiting for any information about leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said about the meeting that took place with the leader: "The meeting with the leader sent happiness to us again. The ideas presented by leader Abdullah Ocalan will lead us to the goals we have set, as the philosophy he presents represents a solution to all crises and issues."

 

For his part, Radwan Rashid from the Qidurbek neighborhood expressed his demand to see and hear leader Abdullah Ocalan, stressing that "we have great faith in this demand."
