Solidarity protest by Syrian Communist Party with Sweida

The Regional Committee of the Syrian Communist Party in al-Jazira organized today a protest stand in front of the United Nations Commission office in Qamishli, denouncing the massacres committed against civilians in the city of Sweida.

During the protest, Biman Khatib Al-Haj Ali read a statement on behalf of the party, condemning the violations described in the statement as "war crimes" and "genocide," emphasizing that the acts of slaughter, burning, and looting amount to "documented humanitarian crimes."

The statement held the transitional government in Syria responsible for these events and accused it of pursuing a plan aimed at fragmenting Syria.

The party called on the United Nations to convey the truth of what is happening to the world, affirming that the solution lies in "establishing a national democratic rule as an alternative to the oppressive dark regime."
