Six shepherds killed in Homs countryside

Six shepherds were killed by unknown gunmen in a village in the eastern countryside of Homs, as the initial information indicates that they are Likely to belong to “ISIS” cells.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today " Unknown gunmen, likely to belong to ISIS cells, launched a surprise attack on shepherds in Abu Al-Alya village, south-east of Jubb Al-Haraj in the eastern countryside of Homs, and randomly shot the shepherds, leading to the death of six, and the injury of others, where they were taken to Al-Basel Hospital in Al-Zahraa neighbourhood for treatment, while the attackers fled to an unknown destination."

The Syrian desert is witnessing a widespread proliferation of “ISIS” cells from which attacks and surprise operations against civilians and soldiers are launched.

 The death toll during military operations within the Syrian desert, according to documents from the same source, has reached 390 dead since the beginning of 2024.
