Siblings of Imrali prisoners submit new request to meet them

The brother of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the siblings of other prisoners in Imrali Prison have submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet them.

Today, leader Abdullah Ocalan's brother, Muhammad Ocalan, through his lawyer Mazlum Dinç, Omar Khayri Kunar's brother, Ali Kunar, Hamili Yildirim's brother, Polat Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş's sister, Meliha Aktaş, submitted a new request to the Republican Prosecutor's Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet them.

The lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office Law submit two requests each week to the Bursa Prosecutor's Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them. Their families also submit two requests each week, totaling 16 requests per month, without receiving any response.

It is noted that the last meeting with the leader by his lawyers, Rezan Sarıca and Newroz Uysal, was on August 7, 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a five-minute phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which was then cut off.
