Siblings of Imrali detainees submit new request to visit them

The brother of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the siblings of other detainees in Imrali Prison have submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to visit them.

Today, through his lawyer Mazloum Dinç, Mohammad Ocalan, the brother of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, along with Ali Kunar, the brother of detainee Omar Khayri Kunar; Polat Yildirim, the brother of Hamili Yildirim; and Meliha Aktaş, the sister of Veysi Aktaş, submitted a new request to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them.

Lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office submit two requests each week to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to visit the detainees. Their family members also submit two requests per week, totaling 16 requests per month, without receiving any response.

The system of torture and annihilation continues in Imrali, and Leader Abdullah Ocalan is being denied his rights, even as a prisoner.
