Shooting incident in al-Zahraa neighborhood in Homs city 

Sixtieth Street in al-Zahraa neighborhood in Homs witnessed an unfortunate incident on Thursday, when two armed men riding a motorcycle knocked on the door of the house of a resident of the neighborhood known as Abu Muhammad (Alawite), before opening fire on him and fleeing the scene.

Thanks to the efforts of local residents, Abu Muhammad was rushed to a hospital in the area, where a medical examination showed that he had been hit by two bullets in his legs. Fortunately, the injuries were not fatal.

In a related incident, al-Zahraa neighborhood also witnessed another event on Wednesday, when an armed group attacked a grocery shop, assaulted its owner, stole money from the store, and then kidnapped the shop owner’s son, the young man Muhammad Bassam al-Sulaiman, with no security action recorded so far to secure his release.

The state of security chaos affecting the city of Homs has caused growing concern among residents. On Thursday, another kidnapping incident was reported in the Wadi al-Dhahab area, while today an attempt was made to kidnap the director of Al-Amal Institute in the Akrama neighborhood.

These repeated incidents highlight the increasing security deterioration in the province, reflecting the urgent need for quick and decisive action by security authorities to ensure the safety of civilians and restore stability.
