Sheikh Al-Khaznawi arrives to NE Syria after 18 years

Sheikh Murshid Mashouq al-Khaznawi arrived to NE Syria, after 18 years, and at the beginning of his arrival, he visited the shrine of his father, the martyr Mashuq al-Khaznawi, and the shrine of the martyr Dalil Sarukhan in the city of Qamishlo.

Yesterday, the Democratic Islamic Conference received Sheikh Murshid Mashuq Al-Khaznawi, who arrived in the region through the Semalka crossing.

 He was received by the Co-chair of the Democratic Islamic Conference, Mullah Abdul Rahman Badrakhan, the head of the Ahl al-Bayt in the city of Derik, Sheikh Sinan Darwish, the head of the religious institution in Maabada, Sheikh Muhammad Amin, the member of the Democratic Islamic Conference Abdul Karim Sarukhan, and the sheikh of the Qadiri Sufi in Syria, Sheikh Muhammad al-Qadiri.

Upon his arrival, Sheikh Al-Khaznawi went with the receiving delegation to visit the shrine of his father, the martyr Sheikh Ma’shouq Al-Khaznawi, in the cemetery of the Qaddurbek neighborhood in the city of Qamishlo, and then visited the shrine of the martyrs in Qamishlo, the shrine of the martyr Dalil Sarukhan, accompanied by the co-chair of the Democratic Islamic Conference, Muhammad Rashid Al-Gharzani.

Sheikh Mashouq Al-Khaznawi was martyred on June 1, 2005, after he was kidnapped by the security services of the Damascus government, after which his son Murshid left Syria.

Today, various meetings of Sheikh Al-Khaznawi are scheduled to be held in Qamishlo.
