Several fires extinguished in wheat fields; Olive groves south, west of Tel Tamr

Emergency teams in the city of Tel Tamr, assisted by local residents, successfully brought several fires under control today after they broke out in different parts of the countryside over the past few hours, causing material damage to agricultural crops.

According to local reports, a fire erupted in the village of Tel Shamiram, south of Tel Tamr, burning approximately five dunams of wheat before emergency crews managed to extinguish it and prevent it from spreading to nearby farmland.

A larger fire broke out in the village of Al-Madina, west of Tel Tamr, destroying around 50 dunams of wheat fields and damaging an olive grove covering approximately 10 dunams.

In the village of Tel Hormuz, south of the city, flames consumed nearly 10 dunams of wheat crops. Firefighting teams, together with local residents, were able to contain and extinguish the blaze.

Another fire ignited in agricultural land near the village of Umm Al-Masamir, west of Tel Tamr. Emergency crews responded quickly and prevented the fire from spreading to additional farmland.

Emergency teams in Tel Tamr remain on high alert throughout the harvest season amid rising temperatures and an increased risk of wildfires. Authorities continue to stress the importance of public cooperation and the prompt reporting of fires in order to minimize losses and protect agricultural crops.
