Session full of decisions of People's Democratic Council
Peoples' Democratic Council held its 95th session, during which Evin Swed was assigned the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, after approving the resignation of former co-chair Berivan Khaled, in addition to approving the members of the Social Contract Protection Court.
Today, the People's Democratic Council in the North and East Syria region held its 95th session, in the presence of the majority of the council members from the seven Cantons.
The session began with a minute of silence, followed by the reading of the session’s agenda by the co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Council, then the resignation of the co-chair of the Executive Council, Berivan Khaled, was approved, after which a vote was taken to assign Evin Swed to the co-chair of the Executive Council of the North and East Syria Region.
During its session, the Council approved the names of the 10 members of the Social Contract Protection Court, whose names were submitted by the Social Justice Council and the Peoples’ Democratic Council, and they are (Hassan Khalaf Ahmed, Avin Haj Hamo, Khaled Barjas Ali, Penjewin Ali, Kanaan Barakat, and Faya Hisham Shamoun, Thaer Muhammad Al-Kuraid, Duaa Al-Hassan, Alaa Al-Haj Khamis, and Sarah Qawwas Al-Furat).
Peoples' Democratic Council approved the names of two members for the High Elections Commission, bringing their number to 17, and the number will be completed to 20 members in the next session. The new members are Anas Al-Mahmoud and Zalloukh Khairi, after the Council had voted in its previous meeting for 16 female and male members.
The Council also approved the Executive Council letter, which stipulated the creation of a body for the families of martyrs, and war-wounded.
After approving the names of the members of the Court for the Protection of the Social Contract, the 10 members took the oath in front of the members, and the co-chair of the Executive Council, Evin Swed, also took the oath, after voting by members of the General Peoples’ Councils and the Peoples’ Councils in the Cantons.
At the conclusion of the session, the People’s Democratic Council and the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria honored the former co-chair of the Executive Council, Berivan Khaled, by presenting a shield of honor and thanks within an official protocol by all bodies and committees within the Democratic Autonomous Administration.
