Security measures: security repositioning on al-Jazira-Aleppo Highway

As part of implementing the terms of the January 29 agreement signed between the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government, the M4 international highway connecting al-Jazira and Aleppo, near Tel Tamer, has undergone new security measures.

The measure comes after a period of closure and restrictions imposed by the security situation and the military escalation witnessed in various areas of North and East Syria.

ANHA correspondent in Tel Tamer reported that the measures included reopening the road in the presence of leaders from the Internal Security Forces who came from al-Jazira and Aleppo regions, including the Deputy Commander of Internal Security in al-Hasakah, Mahmoud Khalil.

Concurrently with the road's reopening, a number of security checkpoints were repositioned near the village of Al-Tawila in the western countryside of Tell Tamer.

The M4 international highway is one of the most vital and strategic roads in northern Syria, connecting several major cities, including Hasakah, Raqqa, Kobani, and Manbij, all the way to Aleppo. It is used to transport civilians and goods between North and East Syria and other parts of the country.

The reopening of the road comes as part of a series of steps and measures being implemented under the agreement between the two sides, which aims to reduce tensions in the region, regulate movement between different areas, and facilitate civilian movement and trade.
