Security Forces: Turkish occupation aims to threaten stability of NE Syria

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces issued a statement today regarding the targeting of a car carrying civilians south of the city of Tal Brak.

 The statement read:

 " In a new crime added to the series of violations by the Turkish occupation state against civilians, a civilian car was targeted treacherously by a drone this afternoon, December 21, 2024, south of the city of Tal Brak.

 The terrorist attack took place near the Shuhada Gas Station checkpoint on the road between the cities of Tal Brak and Al-Hol, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians, including a cleric, and the injury of another seriously.

 We strongly condemn this cowardly aggressive act that aims to spread panic among civilians and threaten stability in the region. We affirm that this crime is part of a series of flagrant violations of international laws and human rights that prohibit targeting civilians under any circumstances.

 We call on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop these repeated crimes against the people of the region and to hold those responsible accountable. We also affirm our legitimate right to defend our people and ensure their safety and security.

Mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded."
