Al-Khaznawi: DAA, SDF achieve aspirations of people

 The Darbasiyah City Council in Jazira Canton held an expanded meeting today to discuss the latest political developments on the Syrian scene.

 The meeting was attended by hundreds of the city's residents, in addition to members of local institutions and councils and representatives of Kurdish political parties. Sheikh Murshid al-Khaznawi, son of the martyred Sheikh Ma'shouq al-Khaznawi, and the administrator of the Democratic Islam Conference, Abdul Karim Saroukhan.

 The meeting began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then Sheikh Murshid Al-Khaznawi spoke about the challenges and achievements that the people of NE  Syria have gone through, pointing out that their sacrifices and steadfastness over the past years formed the basis of the July 19 Revolution, which represents a pivotal stage in the peoples' struggle for freedom and justice.

"Preparations are now underway to write the next hundred years of the region's history, and this requires leading the next stage with a spirit of unity and resistance. We must prove our presence and avoid repeating previous mistakes," al-Khaznawi said.

 He added: "The people of NE Syria must adhere to the project of the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces, as they are the main guarantor of preserving the gains of the revolution that was founded with sacrifices of the martyrs."

 Al-Khaznawi stressed in his speech the need to overcome political differences between the Kurdish political forces and movements, calling for unifying visions to achieve the aspirations of the Kurdish people for freedom and unity.

 He stressed that unity and resistance are the way to ensure a more just and free future for all components of the region.

 Al-Khaznawi concluded his speech by calling for continuing the struggle and adhering to the gains achieved by the revolution, stressing that the sacrifices of the people of NE Syria will remain a source of inspiration for future generations, and that unity and joint action are the way to achieve a democratic and stable future.
