Second day of PYD Conference kicks off

The second and final day of the 10th PYD Conference has just begun, after it kicked off yesterday morning in the city of Hasaka.

The 10th Conference of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), coinciding with its 21st anniversary, will be held under the slogan "Together for the physical freedom of leader Apo, the consolidation of Autonomous-Administration and the building of a democratic Syria", with the participation of 700 delegates.

Yesterday, until late at night, the conference continued its work closed to the media, after presenting shields in honor for the families of the martyrs.

Party members from within the conference told ANHA agency that the conference continued its work by reading, discussing and evaluating the party's reports: "the report of the General Council, the report of the Women's Council, the report of the disciplinary body."

This was followed by an assessment of the status of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the political and organizational status of the party.

According to the source, the conference continues its work today, as the conference finished assessing the political situation yesterday, and the organizational situation of the party is now being assessed.

Following the completion of the assessment of the political and organizational situation, the rules of procedure will be reviewed and approved, and changes will be made to them according to the current situation.

At the end of the conference, the General Council will be elected and a co-chairs of the party will be elected.
