SDF thwarts ISIS cell attack in Deir-ez-Zor Countryside

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement today announcing repulsion of ISIS cell group in al-Bahra al-Wusta town, east of Deir Ezzor. It was at the expense of martyrdom of five fighters and wounding of one fighter during the fierce battles which happened during thwarting of the attack.

The announcement also said: "Our fighters responded to the terrorist attack boldly and loyally, frustrating the terrorist plot and recapturing the initiative on the ground. Sweeping operations and hot pursuit of terrorist forces continue to annihilate them in the scope of the incident, ensuring citizens' safety and eliminating hotbeds of danger.".

While mourning our great martyrs, we convey our deepest condolences and solidarity to their families and fellow comrades, and we vow that their blood will never have been shed in vain. We stand firmly opposed to these terror groups, and we vow to retaliate our martyrs and to bring to justice all those who participated in, assisted, or conspired to carry out this attack to the fullest extent of the law and the strength on the ground.

In the press statement, Syrian Democratic Forces announced their commitment to protecting civilians and ensuring their security and the stability of the region.

They called upon the citizens to collaborate with security forces and share information that aids in ensuring security.
