SDF: School principal martyred in ISIS attack in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the martyrdom of the principal of a school in the town of Al-Sha’fah, located in the Hajin area in eastern Deir ez-Zor, in an attack carried out by ISIS.

The Media Center of the SDF announced today, in a statement, the martyrdom of a school principal in an ISIS attack in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. The statement read:

"In a treacherous and cowardly act, a cell affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization targeted a school principal in the Al-Sha’fah town, in the Hajin area of eastern Deir ez-Zor, on Saturday morning, leading to his immediate martyrdom.

Gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on Saleh (the school principal) while he was near his home, resulting in his martyrdom, while the attackers fled the scene.

The terrorist organization continues to escalate its terrorist operations by targeting military and security forces, as well as civilian and administrative figures, in addition to public service institutions in the region, particularly amid the spread of chaos and security breakdown in Syria."
