SDF foils 3 infiltration attempts in Deir Hafer

SDF fighters on the frontlines reaffirmed their full commitment to protecting civilians in North and East Syria, particularly in Deir Hafer, which has been subjected to repeated attacks by Transitional Government forces.

In recent weeks, Deir Hafer has witnessed intensified assaults by these groups, including a massacre in the village of Umm al-Tineh on the night of September 20–21, when drone strikes killed eight civilians and injured three others.

ANHA Correspondent, who has been closely following developments in the region, interviewed several SDF fighters on the frontlines in the village of Rasem al-Kroum, located only fifty meters from Transitional Government positions in Rasem al-Imam.

Field commander Shorsh Tal Aran revealed that Transitional Government units had attempted several infiltrations. He said: “They launched three infiltration attempts, but our forces were fully prepared and repelled them. We will not allow any such attempt to succeed.”

Tal Aran further noted that the attacking groups rely heavily on the use of suicide drones, which have targeted both SDF positions and civilians in Deir Hafer, raising the danger of these assaults.

For his part, Raddad al-Sahili, an SDF fighter from Syria’s Alawite community, stated:

“I am stationed on the frontlines in Rasem al-Kroum, near the positions of the so-called al-Amshat and al-Hamzat mercenaries— internationally notorious for their abuses against civilians. We send a message to our oppressed people: This crisis will pass. We pledge to fight to the last drop of our blood.”

Similarly, Walid Maskaneh, another SDF fighter on the Deir Hafer front, emphasized that SDF units are closely monitoring the movements of the al-Amshat and al-Hamzat mercenaries and remain determined to block all attempts at advancement in order to protect civilians and prevent breaches in the area.
