SDF denies targeting Transitional Government positions

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have denied all circulating reports claiming that military positions belonging to factions of the transitional government in Syria were targeted at the start of the new year.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement today on the circulation of false news about attacks on positions affiliated with factions of the transitional government in Syria. The statement denied all such rumors and held the parties that spread them fully responsible for their aims and consequences.

The SDF Media Center statement said:

“Some parties have circulated a series of false reports about our forces’ activities at the beginning of the new year, including claims of drone strikes targeting the headquarters of Division 17 on the outskirts of Raqqa, and others alleging that our forces shelled a village in Al-Bukamal.

These reports are entirely false and fabricated and have no basis in reality.

Our forces affirm their full readiness, expose the falsity of these allegations, and hold those behind their dissemination fully responsible for their objectives and repercussions.”
