SDF Command holds high-level meeting on current developments in NE Syria 

The SDF Military Councils and leadership reviewed the current military and political situation in Syria, addressing ongoing challenges and agreements with Damascus. They stressed the need to adapt to changing conditions and reaffirmed readiness through intensified military training.

The Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) held a regular meeting in the region of NE Syria, attended by the leadership of the Military Councils and all affiliated military institutions.

The meeting was chaired by the General Commander of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi, who delivered a detailed political briefing on the overall situation in Syria, with a particular focus on the current challenges facing the regions of NE Syria.

The discussions addressed the agreement concluded between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government, as well as a separate agreement reached by the General Council in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo. The political and military dimensions of these agreements were reviewed, along with both local and international efforts aimed at achieving a nationwide ceasefire.

Subsequently, the leadership of the Military Councils presented military reports highlighting key achievements and developments in the structural organization of the councils.

Participants also discussed the challenges affecting the performance of the councils. In dialogue with the general leadership, potential solutions to overcome these difficulties were explored. The general leadership offered critical feedback on certain issues, underscoring the importance of adapting to the evolving circumstances in Syria. 

The meeting concluded with a series of organizational and military decisions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and overall readiness in response to current and anticipated challenges.
