SDC holds symposium about DAA's achievements, position of Damascus govt

Today, the Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council held a dialogue symposium that dealt with the latest political developments in the world and the Middle East, especially NE Syria, and SDC’s vision for resolving the Syrian crisis.

The symposium was held in the building of the Syrian Democratic Council in Raqqa, and was attended by members of the Democratic Union Party, the Future Syria Party, representatives of women and youth organizations, and a number of students.

The symposium included a review by the member of the Syrian Democratic Council Relations Office, Hassan Muhammad Ali, of the political and military developments in the world, and their repercussions on the Syrian crisis and NE Syria, and how to end the Syrian file which has been ignored internationally due to the international conflict.

He noted that the Syrian Democratic Council is still working to resolve the Syrian crisis through Syrian dialogue, and SDC’s firm position that the solution to the Syrian crisis must be through Syrians, pointing to SDC’s existing efforts to hold a national conference of democratic opposition forces and figures nationwide.

Hassan Muhammad Ali said “In NE Syria, we communicated with the Damascus government, but the latter does not want a political solution, and we are working on a strategy of pressure on the regime, because the Autonomous Administration can solve this crisis."

After that, the discussions focused on the necessity of resolving the Syrian crisis through the Autonomous Administration’s initiative for a political solution in Syria, in addition to supporting the education and health sector and the necessity of communicating with universities, activating the role of university students in the political process and improving the situation in the region.
