Rojava parties condemn Iranian attacks on Kurdistan Region, Rojhelat camps

In a statement, seven political parties and forces in Rojava condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhelat) refugee camps, saying they constitute a violation of the sovereignty of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and a targeting of civilians.

They affirmed their support for the people of the region and the refugees, urging the Iraqi federal government in Baghdad to assume its responsibilities in protecting the borders and civilians. They also called on the United Nations, the Security Council and the international community to urgently intervene to stop the attacks and provide protection for civilians.

It's worth noting that Iranian drones launched an attack on the Kurdistan Region early Friday, leading to the martyrdom of nine Peshmerga fighters affiliated with the Komala Party.
