Residents of Kobani prepare to celebrate Eid al-Adha

The residents of Kobani are continuing their preparations for Eid al-Adha by purchasing holiday necessities, preparing sacrificial animals, and securing clothes and sweets for their children. The markets are bustling with activity and becoming increasingly crowded as the occasion draws near.

In his remarks, Sharif Khalil emphasized that the joy of children is the most prominent feature of Eid, noting families' eagerness to buy clothes and sweets for their children and bring happiness to their hearts, in addition to purchasing sheep and offering them as sacrifices for the occasion.

Khalil expressed his hope that security and peace would prevail in the coming period, and that Eid al-Adha would be an occasion of goodness and joy for all people. He added that his Eid greetings are extended to the freedom fighters, the Kurdish people, and the people of Kurdistan, wishing that the holiday would bring with it greater stability and tranquility.

For his part, sheep trader Fawaz Ibrahim Muslim explained that the high sheep prices this year have negatively impacted sales, noting that the price of a single sheep ranges between $200 and $400, leading to a decline in demand compared to previous years.

Muslim expressed his hope that prices would decrease in the coming period, allowing more citizens to purchase sacrificial animals and perform the ritual sacrifice. He also emphasized the people's yearning for peace and stability in Syria and extended his congratulations to all the peoples of the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
