Reopening of 3 roads leading to Sheikh Maqsood- Ashrafiyah neighborhoods in Aleppo

The Transitional Government forces removed earthen barriers from three roads and allowed vehicle passage to the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods, following the opening of two pedestrian-only roads earlier this morning.

This morning, traffic movement to the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods in Aleppo was limited due to the siege imposed by the Transitional Government forces, allowing only pedestrian passage through two roads: Al-Award and Shayhan Roundabout.

ANHA correspondent from Aleppo reported that the Transitional Government forces began removing the earthen barriers from the two roads, in addition to opening the Ashrafiyah Park road, while the rest of the roads leading to the two neighborhoods remain closed.

With the removal of barriers from these three roads, four main roads leading to the neighborhoods remain closed: Lairamon Roundabout, Jandoul Roundabout, Ashrafiyah Rise, and Al-Jazeera.

The Transitional Government forces closed the roads on October 6 and subsequently launched an attack on the two neighborhoods, resulting in the martyrdom of one civilian and injuries to approximately 60 others.
