“Ready for anything that brings us closer to achieve leader’s physical freedom”

Since February 9, the NE Syria has been witnessing a campaign to collect signatures to be submitted to the European Union Council, demanding the physical freedom of leader Ocalan, who has been detained in Imrali prison in Turkey since 1999 as part of an international conspiracy.

ANHA agency surveyed the opinions of a group of signatories to a petition demanding his physical freedom, in the Çil Agha district of Jazera Canton.

Citizen Ali Rajab explained: "What made me sign the petition demanding the freedom of leader Ocalan is my feeling of security, stability, and freedom in light of his great project, the project of a democratic nation based on the brotherhood of peoples, and for that reason, he is ready for everything that will bring us closer to achieving his physical freedom, and we will not rest until we reach to our goal."

For her part, citizen Karima Muhammad said: "I took the initiative to sign the petition because, as a woman, I got to know myself through the thought and philosophy of the leader Ocalan, who is the only leader who paved the way for women by addressing women’s issues in his ideology, and charting the path of freedom for women to regain their role within a democratic moral society."

Citizen Amal Nazzal, considers herself indebted to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said, "We are indebted to him and his continued resistance on our behalf under the most difficult circumstances imposed on him by Turkey, and we, in turn, will also do everything we can to achieve his physical freedom."

The citizen, Hussam Hussein, signed the petition because he considers the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan to be his freedom, and he said: "Our freedom lies in achieving the freedom of leader Ocalan" and he believes that signing the petition is the least that can be done.

The campaign to collect signatures continues in most cities and districts of NE Syria.
