Raqqa tribes: Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s message holds deep meanings

A delegation of notable figures from Raqqa canton, along with members of civil and military institutions, visited the sheikhs and tribes of the western countryside of Raqqa. During the visit, the delegation delivered the message of leader Abdullah Ocalan, which he sent to the notables and sheikhs of the tribes in Syria, specifically to the Al-Mousa Al-Dhahir tribe, Al-Bu Jaber tribe, and Al-Shibl tribe.

Members of the delegation explained that this step is part of a series of visits organized by the region’s delegation aimed at strengthening community dialogue and building bridges of trust among various components and tribes in the area.

During the reception, the sheikh of the Al-Shibl tribe, Ammar Al-Hami, said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s message carries deep meanings and highly important implications. We hold it with full appreciation and respect, and regard it with special sanctity, especially in these difficult circumstances where some try to stir discord among the components.”

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Al-Hadi, a prominent figure of the Al-Mousa Al-Dhahir tribe from the Afadlah clan, emphasized the importance of civil peace in northern and eastern Syria, stating: “We are not against any dialogue with any party. What matters to us is the initiation of dialogue, and we agree with whatever the leaders on both sides decide. We also reject any external interference in Syrian affairs.”

Al-Hadi added: “The message contains strategic visions about the future of coexistence in Syria and forms an intellectual foundation for dialogue and understanding among social forces.”

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation distributed copies of the message to the sheikhs and notables after reading it aloud to them, in an effort to convey its contents to the widest possible segment of the tribal leaders in the western line of Raqqa canton and to raise public awareness of its importance during this critical stage.
