New session of "National Solidarity, Brotherhood, Democracy Committee" in Turkish parliament

The tenth session of the "National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Committee," formed in the Turkish Parliament following the call of leader Abdullah Ocalan to resolve the Kurdish issue and achieve democracy, has officially commenced.

According to Mesopotamia Agency, the session opened with an inaugural speech by the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmuş. The meeting continues with hearings of the participating academics' opinions.

At the start of his speech, Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş urged: "We must accelerate our efforts and establish a solution model specific to Turkey."

Kurtulmuş added: "I hope we complete our work as soon as possible. This committee was formed with the support of nearly 95% of the citizens who voted for the parties represented in Parliament. So far, we have established a common representative force in all our decisions and have brought our efforts to this stage."

The session continues with the participation of academics including Hava Koç Arslan, Sevtap Yüksel Veznedaroğlu, Aisha Betül Çelik, and Cerağ Esra Çuhadar in the first session; and in the second session, Fatih Uluşoy, Hüseyin Örük, Deniz Ülke Kaynak, Vahap Coşkun, and Talha Kuşa.
